Car-makers want to get a high score at the IQS & VDS of the J.D. POWER because this index have an effect on the buying a new car. The evaluation lists of this index are changed more detail and increased about the noise of the interior parts. Actually BSR noise is not the main sound of vehicle but drivers particularly feel that sensitively and hate the noise. Door trim is an important component on the door assembly part. The reason is only components to be seen and touched with passengers. So, all most of noises of the door module are thought as a door trim noise or problem. In this paper focus on the BSR test methods to verify the noise from the door trim. The first BSR test method is Vibration BSR Test by the vertical vibration with a shaker to simulate a noise of driving conditions. The second BSR test method is Speaker Sound Pressure BSR Test. Speaker sound makes a BSR noise that wasn't wanted. It shakes the air in the door and transfer to the door body, inner panel module and door trim assembly. Each component of the door module moves respectively, so BSR noise is occurred by the contact and friction. In this BSR test method sound source is very important to verify the noise. Sometimes field claims about the Speaker Sound Pressure BSR noise are registered as a complaint of the noise under the strong bit sound music. This test is very simple and easy but can be check the noise clearly. The third BSR test method is Static Load BSR Test. Door trim consist of several different stiffness components. If artificial load is applied to the door trim, squeak and rattle noise is occurred by the different stiffness of the components and the friction between the components. Generally door trim's noise can be evaluated subjectively such as striking, pushing and twisting. However, this method is distributed results concern with the tester's ability and experience. To solve the problems, a multi-axis robot which is programmed pushing with a constant load was used. This BSR test method have a limit that is depend on the tester's hearing ability. However, through those BSR test methods can be verifying the BSR noise and all most of the design error concerned with noise of the door trim can be checked.
