The progress of ESP technology has improved the controllability of brake force ,and has given the opportunity to utilize ESP not only for safety but also for driving pressure and vehicle comfort. Our new feature, Dynamic Cornering Enhancement, utilizes preciseness of brake force control and silentness during ESP actuator working.

A driver has to operate the steering wheel and brake pedal simultaneously in the corner. When the driver harmonizes these operations, a vehicle can run through the corner smoothly and stably. Dynamic Cornering Enhancement autonomously applies brake like skilled driver in the corner. This feature monitors the steering wheel angle for estimating driver's condition (skill level, concentration on driving, etc) ,and calculates target brake pressure driver adaptively. This feature gives the driver secure feeling, and makes driver operation smooth, and reduces the roll motion. The result of vehilcle test and mechanism why the driver feel so will be presented in this report.
