This article presents the major challenges and needs to attend requirements in the Intelligent Transportation Systems area for the Brazilian market. Introduces information regarding opportunities for viewing the key concepts to the use and application of the national model of ITS architecture, information and reference to this sector. Considering scientific studies, implementation and development projects in research. Provides scenarios and possibilities based on international standards to be applied with relevance in the multimodal environment.
